Kris Sergi

Director, Producer, Teacher, & Choreographer

Kris Sergi is a Director, Vocalist, Music Teacher, Choreographer, Dancer, and Art Lover based in the Inner-West of Sydney. In 2022, Kris completed her Bachelor of Music Performance in Vocal Classical Studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Andrew Goodwin.

Over her time at the Conservatorium, Kris fell in love with the music industry and developed a passion for working in events, both on and off stage. This passion has continued through her work at the University of Sydney Union as an Event Coordinator, where she plans and delivers events for students and the broader community.

​Kris’s love affair with theatre and music began at the age of two, and since then, she has embarked on an extraordinary creative journey. A seasoned dancer, she has completed BBO Tap and Contemporary exams up to Advanced One, as well as RAD Ballet exams to the same level.

Beyond performance, Kris has contributed extensively to the performing arts community in Sydney as a Director, Choreographer, Vocal Coach, Stage Manager, and Usher. She has over nine years of experience teaching voice and piano, and more than fiffteen years of involvement in the dance and theatre community.

In 2024, Kris launched her own company - Company of Dramatic Arts (CODA) - and directed and co-choreographed its debut production Seussical the Musical. She went on to direct and executive produce Ordinary Days (CODA, 2025), and is currently directing and executive producing High School Musical and Little Women with CODA. In addition to her directorial work, she is the Executive Director for Tick, Tick… Boom! as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival and Executive Producer on Beautiful Thing, featured in Qtopia’s 2025 season.

Kris's earlier directorial work includes Legally Blonde (2024, UTS Backstage), The Addams Family (2023, North Shore Theatre Company), High School Musical (2023, UTS Backstage), Science Revue (2023, University of Sydney), Into the Woods (2022), The Little Mermaid (2022), Moana Jr (2022), The Addams Family Young@Part (2022), Grease (2021), Legally Blonde (2021), Oliver Jr (2021), and The Wizard of Oz (2021), among others.

Kris is known for her collaborative spirit, detailed visual storytelling, and her ability to bring out the best in her students, casts, and creative teams. Her commitment to inclusive and high-quality theatre continues to shape the cultural landscape of Sydney’s performing arts scene.
